The National Assembly adopted by an overwhelming majority a cross-party resolution calling on Emmanuel Macron and his Government to unequivocally reject the ratification of the agreement between the European Union and Mercosur
The text considers it unacceptable to allow imports that do not comply with European environmental and health production standards.
It therefore asks the Government to protect France's veto right by blocking any attempt by the European Commission to change the democratic rules initially laid down for ratification of the agreement.
