The programme of the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the EU in the second half of 2024 includes items on the reciprocity of agricultural standards.
The programme states :
"Special attention will be paid to the competitiveness of European farmers, the agri-food sector, and the security of EU food systems. In this spirit, the Hungarian Presidency will take a firm stance at the international level for the application of the reciprocity principle"
